Baldur’s Gate 3 – The Adventures of Torna Egeas (Podcasts are Back)

Torna Egeas in Baldur's Gate 3

Podcasts are back!

To fill you in – back in 2021 I started recording a Paper Dice Games podcast, because I love podcasts. It went well and actually had some solid listeners for me at the time. I stopped podcasting though because it just took too much time.

Several months ago I started playing Baldur’s Gate 3. As soon as the game started, I realized I was going to need notes. I made a notebook, and started taking audio notes. Sometime around my fourth recording I realized that taking audio notes was similar to recording a podcast – and that all my prep was occurring while I was playing Baldur’s Gate 3.

I sat on the idea for a few months, and decided it was time to try it out. So I’m doing podcasts again! This time, they’ll all be funneled through my Youtube channel, so all my gaming content (video and audio) can be found in one place, and not spread across multiple content platforms.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – The Adventures of Torna Egeas

As I state in Episode 0, my Baldur’s Gate 3 podcast shares the journeys of Torna Egeas, half elf, and last of the pagan bards. Follow along on his journey, his triumphs, and his many failures as he (and as I) experience the Baldur’s Gate 3 story for the very first time.

You can check out the Youtube Playlist here. I’m planning on adding episodes with some frequency, as I have about 20 recorded already  – and I’m not even done with Act II in the game yet!

Podcasts Going Forward

Like I stated above, I love podcasts. I love listening to them, and I love talking about stuff I find interesting. The biggest constraint I have though, is time.

One way to get around this is what I’m doing with Baldur’s Gate 3 – make audio notes. These can be a fun way for me to podcast without adding any additional time to my schedule. I’m hoping these are fun to listen to, as they are fun for me to make. They also have the added bonus of keeping me on track in my game when I inevitably need to take a few days, weeks, or even months off from playing.

I have a lot of good ideas for additional podcasts that deserve attention and content! For example, the role playing game Traveller has a legendary podcast called Behind the Claw, which hasn’t had a new episode for almost a decade. Traveller fans deserve something just as brilliant! While I don’t have time to put together a consistent podcast, I play and read Traveller enough where I’d love to, sporadically, create episodes for a dedicated Traveller podcast.

Listen to the Podcast

Podcasts are something I’m going to continue exploring as a way to help me be creative and share the games I love! If you are interested in listening to the adventures of Torna Egeas as I play Baldur’s Gate 3, you can check out the full playlist here.

You can also join the newsletter here, which will allow you to receive updates on new episodes, videos, and games I create.

Finally, you can subscribe to my Youtube channel here.

Thank you for being a fan of games! I’m looking forward to adventuring with you!
