Paper Dice Games is proud to announce it’ll be joining an extra life event for 2020!

This year’s event will take place Friday November 6th through Saturday November 7th! You can donate by clicking the button below!

Extra Life Donation = Free Game

If you donate any amount to our extra life this year, you’ll receive a free copy of Dwarf Mine! 

Dwarf Mine is a game about drawing and designing a mine, uncovering treasure, and surviving the dangers of the mountain. In Dwarf Mine, you will draw your mine on graph paper, roll dice to determine what gold, gems, or other treasure you’ve discovered, and (hopefully) defeat monsters in combat, keeping your mine alive and thriving! In playing Dwarf Mine, you’ll create a rich and unique history for your mine – no two games are the same!

Not only will you get a free copy of Dwarf Mine, but this will be a special free copy, with a unique rule page that is not available in the 1.0 release of the game!

Once you donate to our extra life page, you’ll get a thank you email. Included with that thank you email, is the link to your free Dwarf Mine download. If for some reason you don’t get a download, just send me a message on Twitter and I’ll send you a pdf.

Pledging for Donations

There is a form of donating called pledging. It’s often used during walkathons, or similar events, where instead of donating a set amount of money, you can pledge a certain amount of money per lap, or mile, someone completes.

I am very excited to introduce the idea of pledging to this year’s Extra Life.

Pledge 1 – The Ghost of Lion Castle

Pledge Level: $1 to $5 per room survived

• James Hron ($5 per Room)

The first pledge in this year’s extra life event, is for a solo Dungeons and Dragons modules from the 1980s. The Ghost of Lion Castle is a solo, rogue-like module built for wizards levels 1 through 3. In this module, you take a character and a magical map, and see how far you can get your character through Lion Castle. Your character will probably die, which is okay – because upon character death, the map and any other recorded materials magically reappear in a tavern, waiting for the next brave (poor) hero (soul) to venture forth into the castle.

I’ll be running this adventure solo, for about an hour. I will have two characters standing by, in case of an early death. The pledge level for this is $5 per room my characters survive during the hour of play. For context, my first character survived two rooms, before dying. I will also be joining this pledge myself! Pledge 2 – Dwarf Mine

Pledge Level: $.10 to $1 per Prestige

I’ll be playing Dwarf Mine this year on stream! There is a pledge opportunity for Dwarf Mine, with giving any amount of money per prestige I am able to get in my game of Dwarf Mine.

For context, my last game I ended in the 90s for prestige. The game I played before that I was in the 60s.

Abearica Extra Life

The Abearica Extra Life Event was created 9 years ago by a good friend of mine from college. Each year it’s continued to astound our gaming groups with the money it’s able to raise. I’m excited to say that Paper Dice Games will be a part of it again this year – with a whole lot of exciting news coming your way!
