Weekly Design Update – 4/27/2026

Last week was busy. This week will be busy. Fortunately, I am finding time to play games – most recently Alone Against Nyarlathotep, and preparing to start a solo adventure in Moria with Free League’s The One Ring.

Last Week

Last week I finished the Ancient Artifacts that Won’t Ruin your Campaign free hand one-pager! I decided to keep it at one page. If it gets a good reception, I can always expand it. I still need to do proofreading, but I think it is solid. Small projects like these also help me improve my layout editing and graphic design skills. Just an FYI – it will be released Friday May 1st for the Traveller May Day celebration!

I also finished a printable solo resource around tracking NPC relationships for your Solo RPGs. I’ll be releasing this in three weeks I think. I still need to add some rules to it. This too will be free!

Finally, I’ve started brainstorming for my Fantasy Civ Solo Expansion, which will be out in July/August. I have a good map concept and a good understanding of the central mechanics added for the expansion – another round of internal playtesting is next.

This Week

I’ll be proofreading my free Ancient Artifacts resource and releasing it on Friday May 1st. I’ll also possibly be finishing my NPC Relationships resource, as well as hopefully playtesting my Fantasy Civ Solo expansion rules.

I’ve also been toying around with a few ideas for some big releases for 2027. These ideas are in the concept phase, but I’ve started some basic design work to see how big of a project some of these are. I don’t have any specifics about these yet, but some day I am excited to share them with you!
