Solo RPG Play Rankings

The finals are up for the Solo RPG March Madness tournament I’m running through the Youtube channel. One of the really interesting and fun parts of this small tournament, is the amount of comments that discuss how fun these games are, and how great it is to have new games to explore.

Given the spirit of college basketball (and some inspiration from Stonemaier Games), I decided it would be fun to try something called Solo RPG Play Rankings.

The concept here is that every few months, I’ll release a two question survey. Respondents to the survey (that’s you!) will pick the top 3 solo RPG games or solo RPG game supplements that they are most excited to play again.

The key to this survey is that it tracks information on games people have enjoyed playing and want to play again. It’s not a hype survey, it’s a survey that, at least conceptually, will allow great games that are enjoyed by a lot of people to rise to the top. The survey also has a second question which asks you to nominate games that you think should be included on the list, but are not.

Then, I’ll release the results and we can all find new games to play that others in the hobby are enjoying! Click the button below if you would like to participate in the first ever Solo RPG Play Rankings!

Other Updates

  • Century Save the Earth: A Solo Variant for Project Hail Mary – With the success of the recent Project Hail Mary movie, I wanted to bring everyone’s attention to a solo variant of Century Spice Road that I designed a few years back, themed after the Project Hail Mary book. You can check it out here!
  • Solo RPG March Madness Tournament Finals – If you weren’t aware, I’ve been running a Solo RPG March Madness tournament bracket. Well, the finals are here! Voting can occur here!
  • Lost or Ancient Technology (that doesn’t break the campaign) – This one-page release is currently being worked on for May Day! On May 1st, in Traveller tradition, I’ll be hosting a May Day sale and releasing this one-page resource for free. I’ll announce it in this main newsletter, but you can join the Space Book RPG specific newsletter here!
  • Website Updates – If you’ve visited my website recently, you may see that the home page and some game pages are updated! I’m trying to update it to make it easier to read, navigate, and find fun games. I’m hoping to have the rest of the game pages updated soon!

Project Progress

Apollo Mine is nearing the final steps for release! As a reminder, it will be released on Tuesday, April 14th. Work continues on the rest of the projects as well!
