Happy July everyone! The last month has been absolutely packed. Fantasy Civ Solo: Discovery and Doom was released, and updated to version 1.05, and Content Month is just beginning. I’ve covered each of these more below.

Fantasy Civ Solo: Discovery and Doom was released on June 17th! Then, it was updated to version 1.05 on June 26th, 2025. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you can read more about the game on my blog here.

Paper Dice Games Content Month

Content Month is something I am trying out this year. The goal is to take a break from game publishing, and focus on writing and recording videos about the games I love. It’s a kind of reset for me, after all the time I spent working on Fantasy Civ Solo: Discovery and Doom.

Content will be published on my blog, on my Youtube Channel, and through BoardGameGeek. I have a lot of really fun ideas planned that match what I’ve created in the past, but I am also trying out some experimental stuff as well, to see what people like (and what they don’t).

If you want to stay up to date with everything I’m doing in July, check out my blog post here.

Other Updates

  • Content Month is starting here in July! I hope you enjoy some of the stuff I create!
  • One of my favorite parts of designing and publishing games, is watching people enjoy them. Recently, Dwarf Mine made this github list as an exploration game and Star Solo made the list as a space game! This is incredibly cool!
  • You can read through a full play-session of a game of Dwarf Mine here at BoardGameGeek. Long live Starhammer Delve and Maela Gem-Eye!

Product and Project Updates

The Star Solo update and Fantasy Civ Solo release are complete for this year! My focus, starting in late July, will swing towards Grim Space and getting that designed for all of you by the end of the year!

Other Games

  • Star Solo: I haven’t discussed Star Solo recently in my newsletters! Star Solo is a free solo space RPG. You’ll fly from location to location, dodging asteroids and space pirates, trying to find odd jobs and make enough money to stay ahead of your debts!

Star Solo is currently in development – but you can try it out for free here.
