Grim Space – Inline Art is Complete!
There have been a lot of updates for Grim Space in the last week! Most notably, the inline art is complete!
Mark Gosbell (see his itch.io page here) has done a spectacular job with the inline art for Grim Space! The above skull-in-helmet design is included on every single page, giving some seriously creepy vibes for the book!
Additionally, each scenario in the book has unique art by Mark, that hints at what the scenario is about. I’ve added some of these pieces throughout the newsletter!

For example, the above art is the art for the Horror Zoo scenario, spoiled in the last update!

What could this be for?

Or this?
All Scenarios are Complete!
I have also been working hard on completing and formatting all 30 horror scenarios for Grim Space. At this point, they are all complete!
Scenarios include a disturbing rogue AI attack, an unsettling clique of passengers that hold weekly feasts, a strange box that makes anyone who looks inside go insane, a ship infestation with a bloody solution, and a small colony town with a grim tradition.
It’s been a lot of creative work – which is why I love making RPG resource books like these. However, I am glad it is almost complete! Grim Space is sitting at 41 pages as of now, and I think that is what the final number will be at.

Hmmm…what might this be?
Next Steps for Grim Space
There are a few more things that I need to complete for Grim Space. These include:
- Indexing – I want Grim Space to be as useful as possible in PDF and printable form. Indexing is an important part of this process.
- Tagging – Feedback from my beta readers suggested that a tagging system would be incredibly helpful – especially when it comes to safety tools around running horror in an RPG.
- Cover Art – Mac Teg is hard at work with the cover art, and that’s likely to be completed sometime in the next week. I’m excited to see that, and will share it as soon as possible!
- Proofreading – I have time on the calendar this weekend to sit down and do the hardcore proofreading a document like this requires. It’s not the most fun thing in the world, but it helps a lot to make sure I didn’t make any serious mistakes.
In short, things are getting close to finished! I’m excited to be able to launch Grim Space to all of you on Tuesday October 28th!
I’m looking forward to having a spooky sci fi Halloween with all of you! Thank you for being a fan of games!
